When you book a session with me, I will be seeking connection and real life moments. I do minimal posing, but instead use prompts that will help us make photos that are filled with snuggles, laughter, and love. From maternity to newborn sessions, my goal is for you to leave thinking that you can't wait for the next session.

I believe family sessions should be something you look forward to and enjoy. I understand that it can be stressful to plan for your session. Because of that, I am available to help every step of the way: helping find and even providing clothing options, picking the perfect location, and directing you in ways in your session that will help you feel comfortable and beautiful. When you book a session with me, you are my top priority and that's the reason that my families come back time and time again.

McKenzie recently did an in home lifestyle newborn session for our family and it was an incredible experience! She was patient with us and was so good with our toddler who tends to be camera shy. We will meet at a beautiful location and have the best time while creating gorgeous photos.

After two weeks, I will deliver an online gallery of beautifully edited images.
I will help you pick the session or membership that fits your needs most. You will be provided a contract and invoice to reserve your date. Half of your session fee is due upon signing.

We will schedule a phone call to get to better know one another and to begin planning your session. A phone call allows us to make sure that all your needs and concerns are met, but if you would rather email or text, we can do that!

Print at my fine art print shop so to ensure that the photos are more than just digital images, but are pieces of art to be admired and cherished for years to come.
how do I book a session?
Reach out to me and we will talk and make sure we are a good fit for one another. I will then send you an invoice for half the session fee and a contract to be signed in order to reserve your date. If you are booking a newborn session, the exact date will be decided once the baby is born!
The sooner the better, especially newborn. I only book a certain amount of newborn sessions a month as they are impossible to schedule until the birth.
how far in advance should we book?
What if I don't want to do my newborn session in my home?
You would be surprised what I can do with just the light from one good window, but if you still would rather not do the session in your home, I have options! We can rent out a studio, find a beautiful Airbnb, or even do them outside if the weather is nice.
A travel fee will be applied to any session outside the metro Richmond, Virginia area. However, under certain circumstances we can waive or reduce the travel fee (e.g., if I am already in that location for another shoot, if you refer a friend to me, etc.).

McKenzie was able to create magic behind the camera
McKenzie captured our family story at the Norfolk Botanical Garden for a family maternity shoot and returned for an in-home newborn (and family) session. Both sessions McKenzie was able to create magic behind the camera in person with our toddlers and delivered images to us that we cannot wait to frame and share! We sought her out after seeing her portfolio on Instagram. Knowing that photos are forever and an investment, paying the travel fee was a no-brainer for us and she truly gave us a gift in sharing HER artistic eye in story telling thru photos. We will absolutely look to book again for future sessions in Chesapeake/ Virginia Beach and recommend her to anyone looking for a family photographer. Thank you McKenzie, you are amazing!!
